I have seen Shawn's basses and have waited for the opportunity to be the proud owner of one. That time is almost here: http://s1123.photobucket.com/albums/l550/billostech/ Shawn's work is only matched by his patience and understanding of great customer service. Thanks again Shawn.

I have worked in Musical Instrument Retail for over 11 years. In that time many custom-made bass guitars have crossed my path. I have seen Alembics, Tobias’s, Warwicks, Ken Smith’s, MTD’s and many others in the store fronts I’ve worked under. I can say that without a doubt, May Customs not only hold their own in the presence of these giants but out-do quite a few of them. Mr. May, you should be applauded for your contribution to electric bass design and manufacturing. Hats off.

Hey, Shawn you make hands down the best basses that I've ever heard or seen. I hope to get one as soon as I can. P.S. Thanks for making me jealous and wanting to finally start working/making my own guitars Thanks again

I am not surprised by the quality of your amazing work. Your pride is well reflected in your output. My next 6 string, I hope, comes from you.

Congrats Shawn! You used to come over to our house when you were a youngster and hang out with my son Ben Smith ( now studying recording arts music) as you guys were into skateboarding...........I will always chuckle when I remember taking you home and asking which house was yours, your reply was 'the one with the BIG ASS bushes' LOL You might remember that I enjoyed woodworking, well young man you have a lot here to be very proud of and I am happy to see anyone pursue their passion with success! Keep up the incredible work Shawn, the very best to you!

That #14 design looks real familliar. 1999 or 2000 I think. It was made out of cardboard then. Do you remember Shawn?

I have personally seen three or four of these spectacular instruments, and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my own. May Custom basses are leaps and bounds better than any productionline bass you can buy. I cannot wait to play mine, and fully endorse anything that Shawn May lends his expertise to.

May's basses are well underpriced. My advice, get your hands on one of these fine pieces before this young luthier gets discovered, super busy and the prices go up to where they should be! His earliest instruments will be the most valuable. Ryan Martin.
